CAEÂ has won $55 million in contract awards to supply full flight simulators to Air China, Garuda, Air New Zealand and an unidentified international client.
The contracts are the four initial FFS sales deals the company has booked for fiscal 2015 that began April 1, CAE said Wednesday.
“As demand in our commercial segment remains strong, one of our top priorities remains customer focus,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE group president for civil simulation products, training and services.
CAE will manufacture a simulator for Air China’s Boeing 747-8 aircraft and three simulators for the carrier’s ATR-600 planes.
Air New Zealand ordered an ATR72-600 FFS with a visual image generator technology from CAE.
Indonesia-based Garuda is slated to receive the CAE 7000 Series simulator for Garuda’s ATR 600 aircraft fleet in the first half of 2015.
CAE says it has worked with the three airline companies for more than a decade.
