Brian Norris, a 33-year veteran of transport infrastructure design and construction, has joined Parsons Brinckerhoff as a principal project manager for the company’s team in Perth, Australia.
He has already been assigned to oversee the project to design an approximately 7.45-mile haulage road in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, Parsons Brinckerhoff said Wednesday.
“With the Australian government committing $4.7 billion to major infrastructure projects in Western Australia over the next four years, Parsons Brinckerhoff has sought and found an industry lead across complex highway delivery,” said Mark Keogh, director of transport.
According to Keogh, Norris played a lead role in several multimillion-dollar transport projects in Perth and in contract administration for the New Perth Bunbury Highway Alliance and the Great Northern Highway Alliance.
He worked for Main Roads Western Australia for more than 30 years in roles such as project director, materials engineering and structures chief and regional manager for the Pilbara and Great Southern regions.
Norris is a member of Engineers Australia, a “chartered” professional engineer and a registered project management professional.
