The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council has included 
URS Corp. in its annual list of top 45 corporations for women’s business.
URS received the honor at the council’s recent 15th WBENC Summit & Salute to Women’s Business Enterprise in New Orleans, the company announced Tuesday.
“It is noteworthy to be included on this list; our recognition among these companies elevates the visibility of our efforts to exceed federal subcontracting goals,” said Sam Artis, URS small business liaison officer.
The council selects the companies to be honored for the list based on different factors such as how they exceed the federally mandated goal of total procurement spendingf or women-owned small businesses– currently set at 5%.
