Hewlett Packard has unveiled new operating system, cloud computing and server products that seek to help organizations manage business workloads.
The HP-UX 11iv3 operating system is designed to minimize downtime risk when operating in traditional or cloud computing environments and updating server applications, HP said Monday.
According to the company, the OS features up to 32 processor cores and 256 gigabytes memory.
HP has updated its HP CloudSystem Matrix infrastructure for enterprises to manage larger private cloud environments and address server performance issues.
“Enterprises everywhere are required to handle significant data volume while providing customers continuous access and availability to their mission-critical workloads,†said Ric Lewis, vice president and general manager of HP’s enterprise servers business.
The company also launched its Integrity NonStop server appliance for small- and mid-sized businesses.
NonStop NS2300 and NS2400 servers are built with Intel’s Itanium 9500 series processor, according to HP.
