Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Air Force have delivered an 18th C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft to the Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on April 3.
That delivery makes the Dover base the first to have a complete C-5M Super Galaxy fleet, the company announced Thursday.
Lt. Gen. Brooks L. Bash, vice commander of Air Mobility Command, flew the aircraft to Dover from a Lockheed facility in Marietta, Ga.
Lockheed is contracted to deliver 52 Super Galaxy aircraft through 2018 and built the C-5M to circle the globe in one unrefueled flight.
