leidos_purpleLeidos has completed level three of the Capability Maturity Model Integration appraisal for the company’s logistics services operation.

The company’s logistics solutions operation provides integrated logistics services and logistics systems management, Leidos said Wednesday.

Larry Hill, a Leidos group president, said the certification is intended to validate the company’s effort to comply with industry standards and best practices.

The CMMI Institute issues the CMMI Level 3 certification to companies that follow a set of procedures, tools and methods.

A team from Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute works with industry partners and the government to continue developing the CMMI process.
