CACI International holds a position on a potential five-year, $408 million blanket purchase agreement to provide training and related support services to a Defense Department office that works to counter improvised explosive devices.
The General Services Administration‘s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center selected four contractors to work with DoD’s Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization under the BPA, CACI said Thursday.
John Mengucci, CACI chief operating officer and president of U.S. operations, said GSA awarded the BPA for JIEDDO with “asymmetric warfare becoming more common, and the use of IEDs becoming more prevalent around the world.”
GSA awarded the contract through its Federal Supply Schedules program and the BPA has a one-year base period and four one-year options.
CACI said it has been supporting JIEDDO since 2006 by providing C-IED training and developing tactics, techniques and procedures against threats.
