Under ConvergeHEALTH by Deloitte‘s rapid learning network, Forest Laboratories will collaborate with Intermountain Healthcare to research outcomes by using an analytics platform designed to generate healthcare services insights.
Deloitte said Monday the collaborative project initially focused on respiratory diseases and will deploy OutcomesMiner on electronic medical records to establish healthcare outcomes data and develop new products and treatments based on them.
“At ConvergeHEALTH we believe that the shift to value based, personalized healthcare is a team sport that not only requires technology and scientific innovation, but new networked R&D models that support a rapid learning healthcare system, all for the benefit of patients,” said Brett Davis, a Deloitte Consulting principal and ConvergeHEALTH general manager.
Under the multi-year agreement, Forest can also work with Intermountain’s Homer Warner Center for Informatics Research on effectiveness research programs and health economic and outcomes research, among other activities.
“We are excited to work with Forest to tackle important scientific questions that can be best answered by leveraging informatics techniques and real-world evidence from electronic medical records,” said Peter Haug, director of HWCIR at Intermountain Healthcare.
