Christopher Dziekan, formerly vice president of product strategy for business analytics at IBM, has joined Pentaho as chief product officer and will lead that company’s blended big data discovery and advanced analytics initiatives.
“We are excited to have Chris join Pentaho to drive our product strategy and continue to differentiate Pentaho’s big data and embedded analytics capabilities,” Quentin Gallivan, chairman and chief executive officer, said Tuesday.
Gallivan also pointed to Dziekan’s knowledge of market requirements for large enterprise customers from his previous role at IBM.
Dziekan has worked in predictive and business analytics and big data strategies fields with roles in product management at Cognos and product development at Business Objects.
“I’m excited to join the team and lead product innovation for our big data platform, to continue simplifying the ability to blend traditional data sources with large and diverse sources, and deliver insight with visual data discovery, and advanced analytics,” Dziekan said.
