BoeingLogoBoeing will donate $30 million to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum for renovation work and new exhibits that are scheduled to finish in 2016.

The company intends for the donation to support education work, new exhibits and the first renovation of the museum’s “Milestones of Flight” hall, Boeing announced Thursday.

Boeing has donated more than $60 million to the museum since it opened and will celebrate the company’s centennial anniversary in 2016.
