Boeing has joined forces with the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space for an initiative to identify flight-ready concepts with the goal of advancing the U.S. National Laboratory onboard the International Space Station.
The partnership aims to support entrepreneurial researchers through MassChallenge, a four-month global startup accelerator program that provides funding support and mentorship to participants, CASIS said Wednesday.
Companies that qualify for the program will receive $600,000 in total sponsorship funding from CASIS and Boeing combined.
MassChallenge also offers free office space, $1 million in cash awards and up to $10 million through in-kind support to program participants.
Boeing says MassChallenge alumni have raised more than $360 million combined in outside funding, generated nearly $100 million in revenue and created more than 3,000 jobs since 2010.
