BMC Software has introduced a new management tool intended to help developers and information technology operators within a single organization to collaborate on software modifications.
The Control-M Workload Change Manager is part of the Control-M Workload Automation suite and is built for development teams to design workflows for implementation by the IT department while maintaining site standards, BMC said Tuesday.
Gur Steif, president of workload automation at BMC Software, said the company wants the collaboration tool to help developers and IT operations staff delivery applications.
“Batch application workflow changes typically follow a slow, manual process that lacks proper governance, increasing the likelihood of errors, project failures, and service disruptions,†added Steif.
The change management console is developed to remove manual processes, deliver mobile applications and provide end user support on demand.
