BAE Systems will help the U.S. Navy modernize, repair and maintain nine kinds of cruiser and destroyer ships at Pearl Harbor under a five-year follow-on contract.
The company has been maintaining those ships under an initial seven-year MSMO agreement with the branch’s Naval Sea Systems Command, BAE said Monday.
Vessels covered by the multi-ship, multi-option award include USS Chafee, USS Chung-Hoon, USS John Paul Jones, USS Hopper, USS Michael Murphy, USS O“™Kane, USS Milius, USS Preble and USS Halsey.
BAE also offers shipbuilding, overhaul and support services to commercial customers that operate oil exploration and transportation vessels, aircraft carriers and cargo ships.
