National Strategic Protective Services, a joint venture of Triple Canopy and Securiguard, has completed its first year of a security contract with the Department of Energy‘s Oak Ridge, Tenn. facility.
During the past year, NSPS received a “very good” rating and a 96 performance score from the DoE for its work on the Oak Ridge facilities, the company announced Monday.
“A lot of hard work went into winning and transitioning this critical infrastructure contract in early 2013.,” said Ignacio Balderas, NSPS president.
“During the course of the past twelve months, we have built a solid relationship with DOE, established high morale within our employee base, fostered productive labor relations and above all, engaged proactively with the Oak Ridge community,” Balderas added.
 The DoE contract with NSPS has a five-year performance period– a three-year base period with two-year option, effective March 24, 2013.
