Science Applications International Corp. has been awarded a prime position on a $68 million multiple-award contract to support a Defense Department system that is built to manage tactical readiness data.
SAIC will compete for task orders to perform technical and management support work on the Defense Readiness Reporting System, the company said Thursday.
Defense agencies use the DRRS to capture, access and report data on national military strategies.
Tom Watson, senior vice president of SAIC’s Navy and Marine Corps group, said the company has previously carried out systems engineering, integration and lifecycle support for the DRRS and other similar systems.
SPAWAR also intends for the company to support information technology platforms that are built to operate with DRRS.
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-run program has a three-year base period of performance and includes two one-year options.
Services under the contract will be performed in McLean, Va., Washington and San Diego, Calif.
