Science Applications International Corp. will help the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic manage production engineering and logistics for the branch’s Distributed Common Ground System under a potential one-year, $13 million task order.
Tom Watson, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s the Navy and Marine Corps customer group, said Tuesday the company will work on system tools and interoperability with other SSC Atlantic and Marine Corps organizations.
DCGS-MC is built to connect Marine Corps personnel with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems for content discovery and collaboration.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee task order was awarded through SSC Atlantic’s C5ISR System of Systems Engineering and Integration contract vehicle.
SAIC will also develop and test technical data packages for SSC Atlantic, which is based in Charleston, S.C.
