Sen. Thad Cochran visited an Huntington Ingalls Industries shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss. Monday to see the National Security Cutter Hamilton and other areas of the facility.
“We were able to give him a tour of the yard and brief him on the four different classes of ships Ingalls is currently building for our U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard,” Brian Cuccias, vice president of programs management at Ingalls Shipbuilding said in a Tuesday news release.
“It’s always a welcome occasion to have Sen. Cochran visit Mississippi’s largest manufacturing employer,” Cuccias added.
Cuccias will elevate to the president role at Ingalls Shipbuilding on April 1.
