Linda Howard, senior vice president and deputy chief information officer at Science Applications International Corp., has been selected for a 2014 “CIO Ones to Watch Award” by International Data Group‘s CIO magazine and CIO Executive Council.
The awards are for information technology leaders that are potential future CIOs and contribute leadership to their organizations, SAIC said Wednesday.
“This award is truly an honor and a proud moment in my career,” Howard said. “I work with so many talented and brilliant people at SAIC and this award is a recognition of their efforts. They acquire the best solutions for our customers’ missions and keep our company strong.”
As deputy CIO, Howard oversees the operational, technical and strategic direction of SAIC’s company-provided IT services and has previous experience working with federal customers.
SAIC CIO Bob Fecteau submitted Howard’s nomination, which was evaluated by a panel of CIOs.
CIO Ones to Watch awardees will be honored at a ceremony on March 4 in Tucson, Ariz. during the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leadership Conference.
