Lockheed Martin has been bestowed with three 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Awards in recognition of the company’s work to cultivate customer relationships, advanced manufacturing and green practices.
The awards from the Manufacturing Leadership Council and Frost & Sullivan are intended to recognize companies and individuals for helping lead the future of global manufacturing, Lockheed announced Monday.
Awards won by Lockheed include the ML Award for Sustainability Leadership, Engineering & Production Technology Leadership Award and Customer Value Leadership Award.
The Sustainability Leadership award recognizes the company’s “Go Green” programs that work to help reduce material waste and volatile organic compound emissions.
The Engineering & Production Technology Leadership recognizes the company’s role in the development of cryogenic machining to support the Small Business Innovative Research program.
The Customer Value Leadership recognizes the company’s earned value management system, which is intended to use manufacturing resource planning details.
