HBGary, a ManTech International company, has updated a cyber defense product that works to help enterprises identify and validate computer security incidents caused by custom-coded malware.
Active Defense uses a HBGary malware detection system designed to perform host-based digital forensics and give incident responders visibility into all Windows endpoints, the subsidiary said Monday.
Ken Silva, president of ManTech Cyber Solutions International, said the technology works as a “force multiplier” by performing automatic cyber behavior analysis.
HBGary’s Digital DNA powers the incident response management tool to collect intelligence on malware threats, according to the subsidiary.
Digital DNA is designed to help address malware code injection, obfuscation, surveillance and remote access activities.
