A Los Angeles public school district has implemented Microsoft‘s Office 365 cloud computing platform for administrators and faculty members to access, organize and share documents from multiple devices.
Microsoft partner SADA Systems worked to help the Los Angeles Unified School District adopt the cloud email system, Microsoft said Thursday.
Office 365 includes privacy and security features and is designed for multi-device videoconferencing and online messaging activities, according to the article.
“We believe cloud technology can transform education, empowering faculty and students to achieve more,” said Hovig Safoian, chief technology officer at SADA Systems.
LAUSD also intends for the Microsoft technology to help school personnel communicate in the event of an earthquake, a fire or an environmental calamity.
