Ed Davis, formerly commissioner of Boston’s police department, has joined the advisory board of Connecticut-based communications and multimedia company Mutualink.
Davis led the department and surrounding law enforcement agencies through their response to the Boston Marathon bombing and led the city’s police for seven years, Mutualink announced Monday.
The 35-year law enforcement veteran also worked to help the city adopt new technology for the police force.
In his role at Mutualink, will work to provide insights on homeland security and law enforcement to the board.
During his law enforcement career, he served on the Police Executive Research Forum’s board of directors and advocated for community policing.
He is also a founding member and first resident of the Massachusetts Major City Chief Association.
