Dell Services and  ikaSystems will work with the nonprofit Community Health Plan of Washington to update health services for Washington state residents with the goal of complying with federal healthcare reform laws.
Dell said Tuesday it will provide information technology and business process outsourcing services to the nonprofit, as well as deploy ikaSystems’ health IT claims and billing tools on a software-as-a-service model.
“A flexible, scalable business platform and IT infrastructure are critical for health plans to be successful in today’s more competitive consumer-focused marketplace,” said Sid Nair, Dell’s vice president and global general manager for healthcare and life sciences.
Joe Marabito, ikaSystems CEO, said market challenges are present in an increasingly complex healthcare regulatory landscape.
The companies’ support is intended to streamline CHPW’s Medicaid and Medicare administrative processes to drive membership and manage costs.
