Cisco and Australia’s SingTel Optus has launched a unified communications platform that Optus Business ICT Solutions Vice President Ian Smith said offers businesses with upgrades and integrated options, Business Spectator reported today.
Supratim Adhikari writes the unified communications-as-a-service platform is built to combine voice, video, messaging and telepresence tools that are integrated into the Optus Evolve IP network.
The services include enterprise telephony, voicemail, unified messaging, instant messaging, video collaboration, mobility and audio and web conferencing.
“Our customers want the flexibility to consume the services that we offer either as capital investment, as an operational expense where you pay for what you use or as a combination of both,” Smith said, according to the report.
Optus Business also plans to launch a contact-center-as-a-service under the Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution platform.
