General Dynamics C4 Systems has opened an online portal for the Department of Homeland Security’s science and technology directorate to exchange data and access technology resources.
The Knowledge Management System environment within the EDGE network is built for members to develop and deploy existing and new technologies to end users, General Dynamics said Thursday.
Chris Marzilli, president of General Dynamics C4 Systems, said the portal is intended to help DHS gain access to technology resources and products for addressing the agency’s requirements.
The Joint IED Task Force, U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force, Air Force Research Laboratories, Brigade Modernization Command and Army Maneuver Center of Excellence are among the government users of EDGE.
The portal connected at least 25 users, two command centers and an incident commander from remote locations during a public safety demonstration at Texas A&M’s Disaster City event.
