Carl Willis-Ford, SRA International senior technical advisor, has been named a senior member at the Information Systems Security Association, SRA said Thursday.
The 25-year data security and security policy expert has consulted and educated members of government on data security during his career and serves on the Technical Working Group for the NIST-sponsored Federal Information Systems Security Educators Association.
“I’m pleased to see Carl recognized by the data security community for his outstanding contributions and expertise in the field,” said Bill Ballhaus, SRA president and CEO.
Willis-For also mentors students in George Mason University’s MS program in Management of Secure Information Systems.
“The appointment to Senior Member is an honor that ISSA bestows upon those members who have demonstrated a long-term commitment to both the profession and the organization,” said Ira Winkler, ISSA President.
