NSSLGlobal a has agreed to work as value-added reseller of Inmarsat‘s Global Xpress satellite constellation for military and government customers in the European market, extending the companies’ existing GX VAR partnership for maritime services.
Inmarsat said Tuesday it intends for NSSLGlobal to help address bandwidth, mobility, coverage and service availability needs for European government customers.
“We are very pleased to welcome NSSLGlobal as one of the early GX VARs in the global government sector and we look forward to working very closely with them as our first GX satellite (Inmarsat-5 F1) goes live, which is targeted for mid-year 2014,” said Andy Start, president of Inmarsat Global Government.
The Global Xpress Ka-band broadband satellite network will be available for land, maritime and aviation operations worldwide.
Inmarsat expects the Global Xpress constellation to fully deploy by the end of this year.
