healthcare itXerox will work with PatientPoint to help healthcare clients adopt PatientPoint’s electronic check-in and population health management platform under a $28 million contract.

PatientPoint designed the software product for medical professionals to engage patients in their own care through mobile and online communications, Xerox said Tuesday.

Xerox will help PatientPoint clients integrate the platform into their facilities’ systems and train clinical staff on how the technology works.

“We have 40 years of experience helping healthcare providers and IT vendors with the implementation, adoption and operation of information systems,” said Charles Fred, Xerox group president of healthcare provider solutions.

The PatientPoint software is built to gather healthcare data from multiple sources and seeks to address potential care gaps both inside and outside hospitals.
