The University of Utah in Salt Lake City used an Oracle-built project management system to help run two construction projects, according to a Friday report from Automated Trader.
Melissa Centurio Lopes writes that the university used the Primavera Unifier to manage the large-scale projects and help deliver them before the scheduled deadlines.
Paul Bender, Oracle director of public administration strategy, said that Primavera helped school officials reduce the required electronic request for proposals and reduced workflow response times to “a few hours” from eight weeks, according to the report.
“The system also helped external partners, including more than 90 consultants and contractors, collaborate more effectively through access to the system for day-to-day project management,” Bender added.
