DynCorp International raised more than $12,700 in 2013 for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors program by having company employees where red shirts every Friday.
TAPS receives a $10 donation for each red polo shirt embroidered with the words “Support the troops- Red Shirt Fridays,” DynCorp said Wednesday.
“The Red Shirt Friday campaign has been a great way for our employees to show their support for the troops while assisting an organization that has helped the families of our fallen colleagues,” said Steve Gaffney, DynCorp chairman and CEO.
“The DynCorp International Red Shirt Friday program provides critically needed support for families of our nation’s fallen military troops,” said Bonnie Carroll, TAPS founder and a military widow.
TAPS is a non-profit organization that works with families of soldiers that died in conflict.
