A Kratos Defense & Security Solutions unit has partnered with Norse to offer a suite of cybersecurity awareness services aimed at helping medical organizations identify fraudulent schemes and protect electronic data.
SecureInfo and Norse seek to deliver real-time fraud and threat intelligence data for electronically-protected health information through the alliance, Kratos said Thursday.
Sam Glines, Norse CEO, said the alliance’s goal is to help organizations address the growing threat of cyber attacks within the healthcare sector.
“Healthcare payers, providers and business associates are exposed to countless attacks that go undetected,” said Yong-Gon Chon, senior vice president at Kratos SecureInfo.
Chon added the business works with U.S. hospitals to ensure data privacy and compliance with federal healthcare laws.
A SANS analysis of intelligence data gathered using a Norse-built platform indicates that a range of medical devices, conferencing platforms, servers, printers and edge security systems are sources of malicious traffic.
The Norse-backed research identified 49,917 health IT incidents and 375 compromised networks at healthcare organizations, Kratos says.
