Rich Martin, chief information officer at LGS Innovations, believes that comprehensive testing and validation are necessary to prevent technical issues when deploying massive federal IT infrastructures.
“For crucial systems, many potential issues can be mitigated through testing,” Martin said in a question-and-answer session published on LGS’ website.
“You need a lot of eyeballs reviewing test results and validating what is being done,” he added.
LGS Innovations, formerly an Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary that was sold to Dearborn Madison Partners and CoVant, offers networking and communications technology to federal government customers.
Martin also explained how LGS works to foster the value in its business and protect its IT services portfolio.
“One area we are especially focusing on is mobility. It benefits the company to have employees get information securely whenever and wherever they need it.”
