Quantum Technology Sciences has obtained $2.3 million in initial funding from private investors to market a threat detection technology.
Quantum’s technology offering is built to identify threats from air, water, land and underground environments and notify security personnel, Quantum said Tuesday.
Mark Tinker, Quantum CEO, said the technology is aimed at helping to detect threats and deter attacks.
“Quantum’s paradigm shift comes from the ability to classify the location and type of intrusion not only at and within a security perimeter, but well beyond, out to a more extensive awareness perimeter,†added Tinker.
The Florida-based security and surveillance provider designed the system to eliminate obstructions from weather, darkness and other rough conditions.
Quantum intends for the investment to lead to commercial growth and jobs in Florida.
