Oracle’s Health Sciences unit has partnered with Nuance Communications to integrate their technologies for a clinical trial process that works around the concerns of productivity, cost and participant retention of health sciences groups, Oracle said Monday.
Oracle’s e-clinical software and Nuance’s speech recognition healthcare technology will combine to develop a data management offering for mobile devices using web-based apps and cloud connectivity.
“Clinical trial sponsors and contract research organizations around the world count on Oracle Health Sciences’ e-clinical solutions to help them automate and streamline their entire clinical development process,†said Nick Giannasi, vice president of Oracle Health Sciences.
The companies intend to “help simplify, streamline and speed†mobile and electronic data capture and review, the press release said.
