Lockheed Martin will collaborate with the University of Miami to further develop predictive modeling techniques and data analytics technology for managing healthcare information.
The team aims to integrate predictive analytics into UM Health System’s operations and help clinicians access and secure real-time patient data, Lockheed said Tuesday.
Karoom Brown, a Lockheed business development director, said the company seeks to help the UM Health System build an intelligence-based IT infrastructure.
“While an enormous amount of patient information is available in our electronic medical record, this partnership will help us come up with actionable data that is truly important for the patient the physician is taking care of,” said David Seo, UM chief research information officer.
Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed works with healthcare clients to safeguard medical data, process veterans’ benefits and develop technology for clinical research applications.
