Intel and Microsoft have introduced new analytics and big data management products that were built around the companies’ existing technology offerings, GCN reported Thursday.
The website reports Intel developed a software suite for government and commercial organizations to analyze, import and manage volumes of datasets in real time.
Intel Data Platform is based on the open-source data processing framework Apache Hadoop and is designed with encryption technology derived from the Xeon line of microprocessors, according to the report.
Intel will offer a free and a subscription-only version of the software as well as provide services such as automation, proactive security fixes and live technical support, according to the article.
