IBMÂ has launched a security diagnostics technology offering for enterprises to protect data and networks from external and internal threats.
The company intends for security teams within organizations to deploy the Security QRadar Incident Forensics software to reconstruct the activities of cyber criminals for investigation, IBM said Tuesday.
Brendan Hannigan, general manager of IBM Security Systems, said the company aims to help information technology staffers prevent emerging threats and determine impacts of intrusions..
The new technology, part of IBM’s QRadar Security Intelligence platform, works to store records of network incidents for organizations to view when probing suspicious activities, automating alert systems and facilitating forensics inquiries.
IBM also intends for IT security personnel to diagnose breach incidents and attack patterns through an Internet threat intelligence feed such as X-Force.
Security QRadar Incident Forensics is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2014.
IBM also plans to unveil new security forensics technologies for cyber intelligence systems and threat assessment services in the second quarter of 2014.
