Huntington Ingalls Industries‘ shipbuilding division has acquired a Moss Point, Miss.-based property and plans to modify the site into a warehouse facility.
The 12.26-acre property is scheduled to start operation in the fall after it undergoes renovation, Huntington Ingalls said Wednesday.
“This purchase is another component of our strategy to consolidate facilities,” said Irwin Edenzon, Ingalls Shipbuilding president.
Ingalls Shipbuilding completed the acquisition on Jan. 31.
The site comprises of two buildings with three 12,000-square-foot storage spaces.
