FireEye has refreshed its threat prevention technology product in an effort to help customers combat attacks.
The Multi-Vector Virtual Execution- Intrusion Prevention Systems security layer incorporates the company’s MVX technology and threat intelligence for users to identify and view multi-vector attacks, FireEye said Monday.
Manish Gupta, senior vice president of products at FireEye, said the FireEye MVX-IPS technology is built to help organizations integrate threat defenses and receive threat information in order to counter the attacks.
The security layer’s architecture is built to prevent known and unknown threats by validating IPS-detected attacks and boost the defense infrastructure through multi-protocol signatures.
Clients are also able to correlate threat information and gain intelligence in order to extract actionable insights, FireEye says.
FireEye MVX-IPS will be rolled out as an add-on license for the FireEye Network Threat Prevention Platform series in 2014.
