Elbit Systems Ltd. is highlighting its sales within the unmanned aerial systems sector in 2013, UPI reported Thursday.
The Israel-based defense company built one Hermes 900 system every week and completed deliveries to customers in Israel and worldwide last year, according to the report.
Elad Aharonson, general manager of Elbit System’s UAS division, told the publication that the company will continue to develop new technologies and update existing systems with the goal of meeting operational demands.
The 2,190-pound Hermes 900 payload system is built for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations and features a 49-foot wingspan, the report says.
Elbit Systems also delivered Hermes 450 UAS units last year to unnamed clients, UPI reports.
