Cobham Antenna Systems’ microwave antennas unit has launched a dual-polar ,ultra-high-frequency antenna that is built to cover the white space frequency band for antenna operators and installers.
The SA11-90-0.6VH/2178 wideband antenna covers the 470 megahertz-to-700 megahertz frequency range that was freed up after some analog television transmissions discontinued, Cobham said Thursday.
The antennas are built to connect radios beyond line-of-sight and is designed to function by itself with a 90-degree beamwidth or in a four-unit configuration for 360-degree coverage.
Cobham noted the antenna weighs around 44 pounds and  dimensions of 1550-by-550-by-232 milimeters.
Other units of the dual-polar antenna product range will be available in 2 gigahertz, 3 gigahertz and 5 gigahertz bands.
