CGI will work with Sweden’s national transport administration to install Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system on computers housed inside 11,000 workplaces across 120 locations in the country.
The company will provide the modernization and operation services to Trafikverket under a potential seven-year contract worth up to an estimated $76.9 million, CGI said Tuesday.
Sweden’s Trafikverket agency has 6,500 employees and is responsible for planning the country’s national road and railway networks, as well as other transport systems.
CGI will also work to update the agency’s hardware, email system and digital meeting services.
