CGI Group has signed a $100 million contract extension to continue its information technology services for the National Bank of Canada.
CGI professionals will continue to maintain and develop National Bank of Canada’s core IT applications through 2020, CGI said Wednesday.
Claude Marcoux, chief operating officer for CGI in Canada, said the company intends for the extension and new contract to help the National Bank grow its presence.
“We are pleased to extend the agreement which continues the long-term relationship that National Bank has had with CGI for close to 13 years,” said Dominique Fagnoule, executive vice president of IT at National Bank.
The company will also handle the bank’s security infrastructure under a five-year agreement.
