Brett Lambert has been elected to serve as the executive in residence at Renaissance Strategic Advisors, where he will help provide strategic and market advice to the firm’s clients.
Lambert was most recently the deputy assistant secretary of defense for manufacturing and industrial base policy, RSAdvisors announced Tuesday.
He has also served as principal advisor to the undersecretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics.
“What’s particularly exciting is how well his expertise and past experience spans across the entirety of our strategy, market insight, due diligence and transaction support offerings,” said Pierre Chao, RSAdvisors managing partner and co-founder.
Lambert has received various awards such as the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service in 2011, Secretary of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service in 2013 and the National Defense Industrial Association Gold Medal in 2013.
Before serving at the Pentagon, he held various roles at DFI International over a 20-year span, including executive vice president and managing director of DFI Investment Partners.
