Salient Federal Solutions will host the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission‘s data center operations in a cloud computing environment under a potential five-year, $4 million contract.
The company will use a managed services environment to host the commission’s telecommunications and e-government applications, as well as help migrate and integrate the EEOC’s systems into a cloud platform, Salient said Thursday.
Brad Antle, Salient CEO, said the company will work to help the EEOC adopt new open source, cloud and virtualization technologies.
EEOC is also seeking to acquire cloud-brokerage services and third-party software-as-a-service applications under the contract.
Salient will be responsible for disaster recovery operations as well.
