Optum has unveiled a new health intelligence platform that is intended to help healthcare providers extract insights from large volumes of patient data.
The Optum One platform is built for customers to analyze information from electronic medical record systems and make decisions based on the results by using applications, Optum said Tuesday.
The technology is designed to use predictive models for identifying service gaps, coordinating care and comparing treatment costs.
Bill Miller, CEO of OptumInsight, said the company built OptumOne to serve as a single platform for physicians and hospitals to gain insights into patient health.
Optum One is built with an analytics platform for healthcare providers, a database containing clinical data sets, analytics insights deployment system, modular apps, care management tools and a payment scheme.
