SAP co-CEO Bill McDermott told a group of investors in New York Tuesday that the company intends to cut the amount of hardware it uses by migrating more applications into the company’s cloud-based HANA computing platform, the Washington Post reported Thursday.
Moving to the High Performance Analytic Appliance database management tool would help customers simply their information technology setups, McDermott said.
“In the end, the suite always wins. Always has, always will,” he said, according to the story by Mohana Ravindranath.
“The cloud is where we’re taking the company,†McDermott added.
Ravindranath reports the company had $19 billion in revenue during its 2013 fiscal year.
