Viscount Systems will deploy its access control technology and certification software to certain U.S. federal government facilities based in Maryland and Virginia.
The undisclosed agency will use the company’s Freedom access control software and the VeriCert certification software at the sites, Viscount announced Thursday.
As the U.S. government continues to move towards increased security requirements at all Federal Government facilities, we expect to see additional contract opportunities,” said Stephen Pineau, Viscount president and CEO.
Canada-based Viscount designs its software to manage entry devices such as ID cards, biometrics and RFID readers that are built to be connected and controlled by standard building information technology networks without expensive control panels and wiring.
