StethescopeonKeyboardA health monitoring application that  Splunk developed for VMware developed was selected for the editor’s choice award in the server virtualization category of Virtualization Review’s 2014 Reader’s Choice Awards.

The Splunk App for VMware is designed to correlate VMware data with data from other technologies and insights on performance, capacity and security analytics, Splunk announced Monday.

“In the information age, data is king, and Splunk is able to process lots of it coming from just about any source — OS, apps, hardware — and make sense of it all,” said Michael Domingo, the magazine’s editor in chief.

“The simplicity with which it offers up that data to users is why it earned a spot on the 2014 Virtualization Review Editor’s Choice in the category of Server Virtualization.”

Virtualization Review readers had two weeks in October 2013 to vote on their favorite products among 400 technology products.
