QuinStreet Study IDs Data Center Investment Factors

A new study from QuinStreet Enterprise indicates that enterprise customers continue to invest in data centers due to uptime, availability and security, Datamation reported Thursday.

Paul Shread writes the “2014 Data Center Outlook: Data Center Transformation — Where Is Your Enterprise?” report stated 88 percent of 321 information technology professionals spend on data centers.

Amazon, Dell and IBM were listed as among the top IT vendors considered for early stage evaluation by one out of five respondents.

In terms of request for proposals, NetApp is the leader with 12 percent of the IT executives saying they plan on asking RFP from the company, the report said.

Juniper, VMware, Cisco, Oracle and HP are also mentioned in the report.
